The Malta
Council for Science and Technology is organizing a one-day Seminar to
launch the marine foresight activity that is planned within the framework
of the eFORESEE project.

Mission
To elaborate a forward look on how Malta
could optimize the sustainable exploitation of its marine resources through
emerging science and technology, in order to meet the needs of an evolving
knowledge-driven society and a vibrant and diversified economy projected
in 2020, and underpinning the essential management and development strategies
to secure delivery.
Scope
- Description
of the marine pilot project;
- Contributions from selected experts;
- Initiate a wide consultation with key stakeholders;
- Open the pilot project to the public.
Who
should attend
Representatives from key stakeholders in the marine sector, particularly
individuals holding key positions in public and private organisations/agencies/institutions/departments
with marine-related activities.
More specifically the following

relevant to marine affairs
Governmental agencies, and authorities
Leading marine scientists
Representatives of the marine research management community
Representatives of the marine industries and services sector
